Our Guarantee
We have built our family business since 1956 on the principle that you should not pay until we have confirmed the bond will be accepted.
The California bail bond premium is set by statute at 10% of the total bond amount (Insurance Code § 1800.4). It is non-refundable once the bond is posted — that is how licensed bondsmen are paid for taking on the financial risk of the bond. That much is the law and applies to every licensed bondsman in California.
Our money-back guarantee covers the window before posting. We do not collect a premium until we have confirmed with the jail and our surety underwriter that the bond can actually be written. If the bond is rejected, if the bail amount is changed before we post, or if the defendant is released before we post the bond, you do not owe a premium. Period.
After posting, our guarantee covers the contract itself. If we ever charge a fee that was not disclosed in the written agreement — required by California AB 391 — we refund it. No arguments, no friction. We have operated on this basis since 1956.
Call (626) 478-1062 for a free, confidential consultation. We pull the booking record, confirm the bail amount, and quote the premium in writing before anything is signed or paid.
What That Means In Practice
The guarantee is not marketing. It is how we operate, in writing.
California Law
Our guarantee is built on existing California consumer-protection statutes — we just take them seriously.
California sets the bail bond premium between 8% and 10% of the total bond. The premium itself is non-refundable once the bond is posted — that is how the bondsman is paid. Our guarantee covers the period before posting.
California bail bond contracts must include a clear, written breakdown of every charge. If a fee shows up that was not in the written agreement, that is a regulatory violation — and we refund it on the spot.
California regulations specify when a bail premium must be refunded — primarily when the bond is never accepted by the court. We follow these rules to the letter.
